What this does
Numba writes its JIT cache (
.nbi/.nbc) next to the module, and those files are specific to the local Python / numba / LLVM version. The 64 cache files committed understrategies/utilities/__pycache__/were therefore pure noise - they churn on every run on any machine that is not byte-identical to the one that produced them. This commit:
strategies/utilities/__pycache__/..gitignorewith rules covering:__pycache__/,*.py[cod],.pytest_cache/,.ruff_cache/,.mypy_cache/)*.nbi,*.nbc)*.so,*.pyd,*.dll,*.dylib,*.o,*.a,*.egg-info/,build/,dist/).venv/,venv/)Notes for review
.gitignore(+27 lines)..gitattributesonly tracks*.feather,*.parquet,*.json.gz,*.zip,*.pkl,*.pickle,*.joblib,*.h5), so removing them does not affect LFS data.git statusis clean andgit status --ignoredcorrectly listsstrategies/__pycache__/andstrategies/utilities/__pycache__/as ignored, so the new rules take effect.main(75fab80), no rebase needed.Created by an AI agent (OpenHands) on behalf of the user.
